Getting Started with Heidi Home

This article introduces Heidi II, what is Heidi Home and some core use cases.

Heidi II is currently only available in certain regions and subscription types. If you are currently eligible, you’ll see a new Home page when you log into your Heidi account.

Heidi II

Heidi II is here. Heidi still listens to your visits and writes your notes, now it also handles the work that happens around them. The same platform you’re used to, with new capabilities.

Home

When you open Heidi, you'll see today's patients, sessions and open tasks already loaded, along with any Routines you can run. You can open any of these directly, or ask Heidi to perform tasks for you. Ask in plain language and Heidi works through the task, then hands back what needs your review.

Heidi remembers how you write and what you prefer, from what you tell it and from the edits you make. Heidi uses peer-reviewed journal articles, included in every chat by default. Currently, included are NEJM, Wiley and Cochrane.

Evidence is now part of Heidi Home. You can use all the above capabilities, including Evidence, by default, or, you can switch to evidence-only mode. The main difference is that Heidi now helps with steps that you may have had to complete manually with Evidence alone (e.g. pre-charting information for all your upcoming sessions directly in each session's context tab vs copying and pasting Evidence's response into each session).

You can still enable evidence-only mode by selecting Evidence in the left hand menu or clicking the + icon and evidence-only. See here for more information on Evidence.

How do I use Home?

Type or say what you need in plain language for example, "prep tomorrow's charts" or "draft a referral for this patient." Heidi will:

  1. Plan the task and work through it, using your connected systems where needed.

  2. Hand back a result for you to check or tell you why it can't complete the task if it's outside what it can do.

  3. Wait for your approval before anything is sent, saved to a chart, or reaches a patient.

For more information on how to use Heidi Home with other systems and connectors, see here.

What is a Routine?

A Routine is a saved task that Heidi runs for you, when needed (e.g. on a schedule or from a trigger). Routines live in the left panel of Home. You can choose from our Routines Library, or create your own. See here for more information on Routines.
