Heidi Home is a feature of Heidi II. Heidi II is currently only available in certain regions and subscription types. If you are currently eligible, you’ll see a new Home page when you log into your Heidi account.
Approval mode
Heidi can plan and carry out tasks on your behalf, but the judgment and clinical decisions stay with you. When asking Heidi to carry out tasks through Chat, you have two approval modes.
Ask for approval: Heidi checks with you at each step that needs it. Nothing reaches a chart, a payer, a patient or an inbox until you approve it.
Approve for me: Heidi works through the task without stopping at every step. Use it where the work is routine and you've already seen the flow run correctly.
Whichever mode you're in, Heidi comes back to you when a task is unclear or when the next step falls outside what you asked for.
Approvals for Routines
Routines follow Approve for me, whether you created your own or picked one from the library. This means, they don't require constant approval. Before you run any Routine you should read exactly what it will do, step by step, by clicking into the Routine's description.
Every action Heidi takes carries a risk classification, and therefore Heidi will still ask for approval on certain steps for Routines that are classified as high risk.
How approval works
Heidi asks before any unsafe or destructive action. Certain actions will always require approval, regardless of the mode, such as;
prescribing, deleting records or destructive EHR actions, submitting claims, making a direct diagnosis.
Approving one action does not approve the next. Each step in a run that needs sign-off asks for it separately.
Every approval decision, yours or the system's, is recorded along with its outcome, so you can see afterwards what was approved and what happened as a result.
A scheduled Routine that runs while you're away will do its work, any high-risk steps will wait for your approval.
If Heidi is unsure, for example, a task is ambiguous, or a step would go beyond what you originally asked, Heidi stops and comes back to you rather than guessing. Instructions only ever come from you.
Approving on the go
You can see runs, approve a pending action, and stop a run from your phone (iOS), with a push notification when something is waiting on you. The same approval rules apply as on desktop.
Something looks wrong?
If something looks wrong, contact us and our clinical safety team will review it. Our internal clinical safety teams assess features through a clinical risk lens before release and after it, and reports from clinicians feed into that process.
