Will the screen stay on during the session?

The screen won't stay on, but the app will continue to transcribe in the background. Users can see a silent notification in their notification centre while it's in progress, and pause/resume from there.

What is Offline mode?

Offline mode lets you start and stop sessions without internet connection. Everything will be safely saved, and your notes will be generated as soon as you’re back online.

How does Offline mode work?

You can start a new session (either in transcription or dictation mode) even when you’re offline. Your screen will display an “Offline mode” indicator, and your transcript will be securely saved. Once you're back online, your notes will be automatically generated.

Offline mode also works as a backup for unstable internet connections. If you lose connection during an online session, your work will still be saved locally and synced once the connection is restored.

How to use Offline mode

  1. Create a New Session

    • Open the Heidi Health app.

    • Tap the “New session” button at the bottom of the screen

Note: You can also open an existing session and continue to your dictation or transcription.

  2. Start Your Session

    • Begin your session as you would in online mode.

    • You will see a small that indicates your session is in Offline mode

  3. End Your Session

    • Once your session is complete, tap Stop to end the session.

    • At this stage, you may see an option to Resume the session if you want to add more details or continue your dictation or transcription.

  4. Reconnect to the Internet

    • Once your phone has internet connection again, your sessions will sync online and your notes will begin to generate.

    • All the sessions completed offline will show a spinning icon, indicating that transcription is underway.

  5. Review and Complete the Session

    • Once the transcription is complete, you can choose a template, add any final details, and save your session notes.

Additional Tips

  • Offline mode is ideal for settings with limited connectivity.

  • Once back online, ensure you’re connected long enough for Heidi to fully process and save your session.

How do I sync my data across multiple devices?
