Hvor kan du bruge Heidi?
Heidi is built to work wherever you practice — in an outpatient clinic, private rooms, on a ward round, in the emergency department, in theatre, or via Telehealth. As long as you have a device and a microphone, Heidi can be with you.
Beyond transcription, Heidi surfaces clinical evidence to support faster decision-making and helps you manage patient tasks and documentation — all within the same workflow.
Valg af den rigtige Heidi-tilstand
Er du usikker på, om du skal bruge skrivebords-appen, webbrowser eller mobilapp? We'll help you figure out which mode suits your clinical setting.
Heidi is available across three platforms. The right one depends on your clinical setting.
Mode | Bedst til | Installation required |
Webbrowser* | Static clinicians with stable Wi-Fi. | ✗ |
Skrivebordsprogram | Most clinical workflows, especially Telehealth. | ✓ |
Mobile app (iOS and Android) | Transcribing on-the-go in low bandwidth areas or offline. | ✓ |
*While most modern web browsers are able to support the Heidi platform, Telehealth is only available on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. See our System Requirements for full more information.
Skrivebordsprogram
Your full-featured option for clinical work. Use the desktop app for pre-charting, transcribing or dictating consultations, reviewing and editing notes, sending documentation to your medical record, and accessing Evidence and Tasks.
The desktop app must be downloaded and installed on your computer. Once installed, it is the recommended choice where possible, offering enhanced Telehealth settings optimised for the best possible transcript quality.
Webbrowser
The web browser version gives you access to the same core features with no download or installation required — just open your browser and go. It's currently supported on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge only.
If you're using Heidi for Telehealth via the browser, select Telehealth mode before starting your session to ensure the best audio capture in a video call environment.
💡 When using Heidi on desktop or web browser, ensure your device doesn't go to sleep or enter screensaver mode mid-consultation as this can impact the
Mobile app (iOS and Android)
Best suited to fast-paced environments where you're moving between patients quickly — busy ward rounds, high-volume clinics, or situations where you're frequently changing rooms.
The mobile app supports offline transcription and allows you to capture clinical context on the go, including photographs, scanned documents, and file uploads. These are stored securely within Heidi — not on your camera roll — and pushed to the context window immediately.
💡 When using the mobile app, enable Do Not Disturb before starting a session. Incoming calls can disconnect the microphone from your Heidi session.
Heidi Remote
For a totally hands-free experience, Heidi Remote is a wearable microphone that pairs with the iOS app to capture and sync transcriptions automatically — no need to hold or manage your device during a consultation. Heidi Remote is currently available for iOS, with Android and desktop app support coming soon.
Moving between platforms
The desktop app and mobile app work together. Capture context and transcribe on mobile during a busy clinic, then move back to the desktop app or web browser to finalise your notes, review documentation, and complete any outstanding tasks.
💡 Keep your session running smoothly: If you're on a browser or mobile, avoid switching tabs or apps during a session as this can temporarily revoke microphone access.
