Before you start
You'll need:
A Heidi account you can sign in to.
A profile name from Heidi. Heidi provides this once AlayaCare has given Heidi access to your facility (see Facility approval below). If you don't have one, ask your site administrator.
Facility approval (for site admins)
A site administrator or manager needs to complete these steps once for your facility, before anyone can connect.
Ask AlayaCare to enable your facility for Heidi. Contact your AlayaCare account contact and request an API client ID and client secret (sometimes called a public and private key) for Heidi to use.
Send Heidi the client ID, the client secret and your AlayaCare web address (for example, `yourorganisation.alayacare.com`). Contact your Heidi customer success manager or account executive to arrange a secure way to share them.
Heidi checks the credentials, sets up your facility and sends you a profile name.
Share the profile name with the staff who will use the integration. Each person enters it when they connect.
Connect the integration
1. Sign in to Heidi, open Settings > Connectors, and find AlayaCare under Medical record.
2. Click AlayaCare, then click Set up connector.
3. Enter your profile name and click Continue. Heidi checks the name and tests the connection to AlayaCare.
4. Search for your name, select it from the employee list, and click Continue.
5. When "Your connector is connected" appears, click Done.
If Heidi can't find your profile, check that you typed the name exactly as Heidi gave it to you, or ask your site admin.
Use the integration
Visits: Heidi imports your AlayaCare visits by the selected date and leaves out cancelled visits. You see your own visits, not the whole organisation's.
Start a session: Start a session from a visit so Heidi links it to the client. Without this link, Heidi can't send the note to that client's record
Send your note: When the note is ready, use the push button at the top of your note and choose a note type. Heidi saves the note as a progress note on the client's record, with your name as the author.
Upload your PDF: You can also upload your note as a PDF to the client's documents. Choose the destination folder when asked.
Disconnecting the integration
Open Settings > Connectors > AlayaCare and click Disconnect connector.
You can reconnect at any time by following the steps above.
