Two Ways to Add Heidi to eCW through Vim
You can request Heidi access from two places:
Vim Console Marketplace - Through Vim's Admin Console
Vim Canvas Marketplace - Directly in your eCW interface (Organization Admin Only)
Option 1: Add Heidi via Canvas Marketplace (In eCW)
Console Account Owners, Account Admins and Vim Connect end users can use this method.
Step 1: Open the Marketplace
Log into eClinicalWorks
Click the Vim heart icon and select "Marketplace" or "Browse Apps"
Step 2: Find and Request Heidi
Search for "Heidi" or browse available applications
Click on the Heidi listing and click "Add Now"
Review Heidi's terms of service and privacy policy. Accept EHR permissions.
Step 3: Select Users
Choose which users in your organization should have access to Heidi
Or select "Add All Users” and confirm your selections
Step 4: Users Get Notified
Your team members will receive a notification next time they log into eCW letting them know Heidi is ready to use.
Option 2: Add Heidi via Console Marketplace
Only Console Account Owners and Account Admins
Step 1: Log Into Vim Console
Go to Vim's Admin Console and log in with your admin credentials
Click "Application Marketplace" in the left menu
Step 2: Find and Request Heidi
Search for "Heidi" and click on the Heidi listing
Click "Add Now" or "Request to Add"
Step 3: Review and Accept
Review terms of service and privacy policy
Accept EHR permissions
Submit your request
Step 4: Manage User Access
After adding Heidi, you can manage which users have access
Go to user management in the Console
Assign Heidi to specific users or your entire organization
What Happens Next?
If you clicked "Add Now":
Heidi is instantly available to your selected users
Users will see a notification in eCW next time they log in
They can start using Heidi immediately
