Retrieve and delete your sessions

This article explains how to find and retrieve consultation notes and how to delete sessions.

How do I retrieve my notes after a consultation?

Notes are automatically generated once a consultation ends and can be found in the Note tab within the session.

To view notes from a previous session, go to your session list on the left side of the screen, click on the session, then navigate to the Note tab.

To hide the session list, hover over the sessions panel, and click the X in the top-left corner to close the panel.

Can I delete sessions?

Yes. Sessions can be deleted manually or automatically.

Manual deletion: Find the session in your session list, select it, and click Delete at the bottom of the sessions panel.

Bulk delete selection: Check one session to enter selection mode, then check any other sessions you wish to remove, and click Delete at the bottom of the sidebar.

Bulk delete all: Check one session to enter selection mode, then click Select all, then Delete at the bottom of the sidebar.

Automatic deletion: From Settings, configure automatic deletion at a set interval (1–90 days). Sessions are deleted nightly once they've exceeded the configured age.

Is it possible to upload previous documents?

Yes - use the File Upload feature to generate a note from context. See What is “Context”? for more information.

Can I upload previous recordings?

Yes. When starting a new session, select Upload a file to transcribe. Heidi will transcribe the recording and generate notes as usual.

What happens to my session summary if the session times out?

Your consult summary is saved once it has been generated. To access it, log back in and find your session in the session list on the left side of the screen. Navigate to the Note tab to view it.

If you can't see your summary, try regenerating your notes first, then refresh the page. If it's still missing, see Troubleshooting Note Output Issues.
