Scribe

The Scribe setting gives you more control over how your content is processed and presented. You can fully customise your outputs to match your personal style.

Prefer detailed bullet points? Want a more concise summary with patient quotes? Scribe lets you tailor the output exactly how you like it—down to tone, structure, and level of detail.

What are my Scribe options?

For Pro Users, Scribe comes in two options:

  1. Fast Scribe: Fast processing that's perfect for most, simple sessions. It may occasionally lack some details, but gets the job done efficiently for everyday use.

  2. Best Scribe: Provides thoughtful analysis with precise recall. Ideal for complex sessions where detail and accuracy are essential.

For Free users, the Free Scribe is designed to be very fast and works well for most simple sessions.

If you regularly need more reliable performance for detailed or lengthy notes, we recommend upgrading to a Pro plan.

Tip: All free users automatically get 10 Pro actions, which let you try the Pro scribe options for higher-quality results. After you’ve used your 10 Pro sessions, you’ll automatically continue with the Free Scribe, unless you choose to upgrade for unlimited access.

Are there any costs associated with using Scribe?

  • Pro users enjoy unlimited access to both Fast and Best Scribes at no additional cost.

  • For Free Users, using Pro Fast or Pro Best Scribe costs one Pro Action per use.

Where can I use Scribe?

Scribe works on both notes and documents. When using documents, you'll see the icon and name of your active Scribe in the toolbar (voice features aren't included in document styling).

Voice

Voice has moved to the style dropdown menu with enhanced customisation options:

  • Choose from preset options (Brief, Goldilocks, Detailed, Super Detailed)

  • Watch as options below automatically adjust based on your preset selection

  • Override any preset with custom settings using sliders and toggles

  • Apply this level of customisation to your default voice in settings

  • Impact on Quotes: Super Detailed often includes patient quotes, while Goldilocks and Brief are designed to minimize or exclude them entirely.

This means you can strictly define whether you'd like your outputs to have bullet points or not, include abbreviations, include patient quoting and how much detail to include.

Common Issues with Quoting and Solutions

If unwanted patient quotes persist in your notes, consider the following:

  1. Adjust Voice Settings

    • Navigate to PreferencesVoice Settings and switch from "Super Detailed" to "Goldilocks" or "Brief" for less emphasis on quotes.

  2. Disable Quotes Toggle

    • Go to SettingsDefaultsSession Defaults and turn off the Quotes toggle to restrict quotes in notes.

  3. Customize Templates

    • Use specific instructions in your templates such as, "Exclude all patient quotes from the final note output."

  4. Update Your App

    • Ensure you're using the most updated app version for optimal performance. You can also use the Quotes toggle in the Default settings to completely disable patient quotes in your transcriptions, ensuring greater note clarity.

What if I have templates with voice instructions?

Any instructions within your template that conflict with these settings will be prioritised – your templates always take precedence. For example, include clear instructions like: "Do not include patient quotes in this clinical note" or "Remove all quoting before finalizing the note."

How do I reset my voice settings?

Simply press "Reset Defaults" to return to the default settings for your selected preset.

Is Voice a premium feature?

No. Voice is a free feature available to all users, but it's only available on note-type outputs.
