Library is where you manage the knowledge behind Heidi Evidence. Upload your own documents, group them into collections and curate the trusted web sources Heidi searches. Keep content to yourself or share it with your team, so every Evidence answer reflects the guidance you trust.
Plans and access
The Library and source control are part of our paid Evidence product. Some actions are available on every plan, and others need team plans.
Heidi Evidence (paid, per user): upload documents, build document and source collections, choose which sources inform Evidence and reach primary research and premium sources.
Practice plan (for admins): set team-wide sources, enforce what the whole team searches, allow collection sharing and set regional defaults.
When an action needs Evidence, Heidi shows an upgrade prompt like the one below. You will require Practice, Clinician, or Evidence Plus depending on your needs.
Find the Library
To open the Library:
Log in to Heidi.
Click Evidence in the left sidebar.
Open Library.
The Library has two tabs. Documents holds the files you upload. Sources holds the trusted websites Heidi searches.
Documents: your reference library
On the Documents tab you can:
Upload documents such as guidelines, protocols or reference PDFs. Click Upload, or Upload your first document.
Organise them into collections. Click New Collection to group related documents.
Filter by All, Team or Personal, sort by date added and switch between grid and list view.
Uploaded documents become sources Heidi can search in Evidence. They can also ground the clinical considerations Heidi shows during a session.
Sources: curate trusted sources
The Sources tab controls which trusted websites Heidi Evidence searches, such as pubmed.gov or uptodate.com.
Click New Collection, or Create your first collection, to group sources you trust.
Filter your source collections by All, Team or Personal.
With source collections set up, you point Evidence at the references that matter to your practice and leave out the rest.
For practice admins: team-wide source control
Administrators of Teams on a Practice plan can set what the whole team searches. Open Manage team sources at the top of the Library, or go to Settings, then Team, then Evidence.
Under Evidence sources, turn each source type on or off for the team:
Literature and guidelines: peer-reviewed journals, systematic reviews and clinical practice guidelines.
Clinical web: curated clinical summaries, drug references and health authorities.
Library: personal and team document libraries.
Partner sources: evidence from connected clinical data partners.
For each type, Always search forces every Evidence query to include it, and members cannot turn it off. You can also allow collection sharing so members can make their collections visible to the team, and set regional defaults so results prioritise the guidelines and regulations for your country and jurisdiction.
Once Heidi Evidence is enabled on your account, you can start uploading documents and building source collections right away.
